There are many reasons why people use ozone in aquaculture. First of all, it does not leave any residue as mentioned above. It oxidizes the organic matters present in the water such as the fish excrement and also allows micro-flocculation of the organic matter present in the water. It also weakens the colloidal particles in the water and precipitate dissolved matter. These are some of the reasons why ozone is used as the disinfectant and oxidant in the water. Apart from these, ozone uses in aquaculture can also be applied for water quality improvement and to prevent diseases within aquaculture systems.
For the quantity of the aquaculture ozone sizing of the tank is taken into consideration. The more the water to be disinfected or sterilized, the more quantity required. The fish hatchery and the farms will have a supply of high quality of water with the use of aquaculture ozone. This is because there is no other element available which can sterilize the water as effectively as this one. The use of ozone however takes four steps. First is the generation where the ozone particles are generated into the water. The next step, after it has been generated and kept for some time it is detected or measured by the detector to transfer to another place. The transfer mechanism may call for some sort of mechanical device. Finally, it is destroyed by the water.
Ozone aquaculture is a good way to do fish farming. With the shortage of fish and increase in its demand, it has become necessary to divert yourself from the traditional methods of farming. Time is everything today, and traditional methods take a lot of time. With this method time is saved and also efficient farming takes place.
